Tinashe Tapera will do a summer internship at CRM software giant, Salesforce, San Francisco, CA. He will work in the People Analytics Division, focusing on scalable NLP (natural language processing) and quantitative modeling problems for HR affairs. May 2017 Professor Zoe Zhang was selected as the 2016-2017 recipient of the College of Arts and Sciences Teaching Excellence Award. This prestigious award is given to a tenure-track Assistant Professor who has demonstrated unusual excellence and innovation in teaching. May 2017 Professor Zoe Zhang was selected as the recipient of a 2017 Faculty Summer Research Award. March 2017 Professor Zoe Zhang received the Career Development Award Drexel University. April 2016 Daniel Flack, clinical doctoral student co-advised by Zoe Zhang and Evan Forman was selected to receive a $2,300 scholarship and a $500 travel award from the Summer Institute in Statistics for Big Data. April 2016 Tinashe Tapera, BS/MS student mentored by Zoe Zhang received a $900 travel award from the Statistical and Applied Mathematical Sciences Institute to attend an undergraduate modeling workshop.
